With rhythm, joie de vivre and new perspectives, Angola 2026 presents itself as an emerging destination on the world tourism stage.

In 2026, Angola will bring its unique rhythm to Europe – at two of the most important trade and consumer fairs in the German tourism industry: By naming itself the Guest of Honour at CMT Stuttgart and ITB Berlin, the southwest African country is setting a strong example for its tourism development. Angola will use these two leading trade fairs to showcase its diverse attractions and investment potential to an international audience of trade professionals and visitors eager to travel.

CMT Stuttgart: Guest country at the world's most important consumer trade fair

At the CMT Stuttgart (January 17–25, 2026), the world's largest public tourism trade fair, Angola will present itself as colorful and diverse as the country itself. Under the motto "Angola – The Rhythm of Life," the country will showcase its cultural diversity, nature, and joie de vivre across all channels.

A captivating stage program awaits every day: Dancers from Angola bring the country's rhythm to Stuttgart with the famous Kizomba – and invite the audience to dance along and experience Angola's energy firsthand. The trade fair booth will also be a colorful experience: Green symbolizes Angola's lush, vibrant nature; blue symbolizes the 1,600-kilometer-long Atlantic coastline and Africa's second-largest waterfall. Brown represents the impressive mountain landscapes such as the Pedras Negras and the vastness of the Namib Desert, while red reflects the people's joie de vivre and the country's rich culinary diversity.

Guido von Vacano, member of the management board of Messe Stuttgart, says: "We are delighted to welcome Angola, an emerging country on the west coast of Africa, as the guest country of CMT. I am excited about the 'Rhythm of Life' and the tangible joie de vivre with which Angola will inspire its guests at the trade fair."

In addition, visitors can book their next vacation directly at the Angola stand: Anke Budde, President of the asr Bundesverband eV, offers exclusive Angola tours under the Budde Reisen label – firsthand, as she knows the country personally.

ITB Berlin 2026: Official Guest Country for the 60th Anniversary

Another highlight will be ITB Berlin 2026 (March 3–5, 2026), where Angola will be the official guest country of the world's leading B2B tourism trade fair. The KLEBER GROUP, Angola's global tourism board, and Messe Berlin have officially announced their close cooperation on the occasion of ITB Berlin's 60th anniversary.

At a ceremony, Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Angola, Dirk Hoffmann, Managing Director of Messe Berlin, and Julia Kleber, CEO of the KLEBER Group and official representative of the Angola Tourism Board, signed the partnership agreement. Deborah Rothe, Director of ITB Berlin, stated: "We are delighted to welcome Angola as the Guest of Honour at ITB Berlin 2026. The country has enormous tourism potential and will showcase a fascinating diversity of culture, nature, and hospitality as part of our anniversary celebrations."

Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Angola, added: "Angola's tourism is on a strong growth trajectory. This development is creating new jobs and contributing sustainably to the economic diversification of our country. The partnerships with CMT Stuttgart and ITB Berlin are an important step toward positioning Angola internationally as a safe, authentic, and vibrant travel destination."

In addition to the major trade fair appearances in Germany, Angola 2026 will also be represented at other leading international trade fairs, including:

  • FITUR Madrid (Spain)

"It is a great pleasure and honor to be able to present Angola at the most important international tourism trade fairs and to meet so many interested trade and private visitors," says Julia Kleber, CEO of the KLEBER Group and official representative of the Angola Tourism Board.
